Christian Formation
How we grow and strive to be more like Christ
(Based on Matthew 28:18‐20, Romans 8:28‐30, Colossians 1:28‐29, 2 Timothy 1:5; Articles 17 and 18, Confession of Faith in a Mennonite Perspective. Taken from the MC USA website.)
Solid theological instruction is the cornerstone of our personal and communal development and our commitment to you. We strive to inform, challenge, and support your understanding through a lifetime of education. Classes are provided for preschool through adult students.
Materials used include the Shine series for the preschool through junior high school class; the high school class utilizes a curriculum developed from Anabaptist related materials. The adult classes include topical studies on current events or books [such as The New Jim Crow, Sacred Pauses, and The Naked Anabaptist] and Bible study. Special Studies are also offered through our Coming of Age program for junior high, Catechism for eighth and nine graders, Baptismal inquiry and instruction with the pastor and sponsor, and New Inquirers classes.
You do not have to be a member of the church to take part; everyone is welcome.
In non-pandemic times, classes are held at 9:30am, September through May, unless otherwise noted.
