Socially and spiritually, on an annual basis, we gather to celebrate with one another and recognize the significance of several events. The dates may change from year to year, but these do tend to repeat. If you have a specific question about an event, please contact the office.
Ash Wednesday service
Evening service at CMF on Ash Wednesday to commemorate the beginning of the Lenten season.
Easter Morning Brunch
During our normal education hour on the Easter morning [9:30am], the congregation gathers to share a pitch-in meal before Easter service.
This Sunday is in recognition of Child Abuse and is supported by area agencies that help victims. [April]
Teacher Recognition Day
Every year, we honor our volunteers for their passion for sharing the word of God with our youngest to our oldest students in the congregation. [May]
Signing of the Covenant
On Pentecost Sunday we celebrate our annual covenant signing. Since the congregation’s beginnings, the signing of the covenant has been the way that we signal and renew our commitments to God and to each other as a faith community.
Pentecost Fellowship Meal
Our meal to celebrate the seventh Sunday after Easter, commemorating the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles and the beginning of the church.
Safe Sanctuary Training
In accordance with our Safe Sanctuary Plan, all individuals that interact with or have children are encouraged to participate in basic training to help our smallest members and how we as a congregation respond to their needs. [August]
Fellowship pitch-in meal that is held after service on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. [November]
White Elephant Christmas Party
Our annual December gathering that includes caroling at Find-A-Way and the neighborhood, refreshments, games, and a separate adult and child gift exchange.
